This year is the beginning of our two-year journey through American history. 

We will cover a time period from pre-exploration to the late 1800s. 

Topics will include:

• Native Americans
• Exploration and Colonization
• Causes of the American Revolution
• The Revolutionary War
• Formation of a New Government
• Life in the New Nation
• Causes of the Civil War
• The Civil War
• The Reconstruction Period

Grading :  

Quarterly grades will be factored on the following:      

• Summative Assessments (1-2/Retakes will be available)
• States Quizzes (2)
• Writing Assignment (1)
• Project (1-2)
• Formative Assessments (10- 1x/week)
• Do Now/Exit Ticket (10 – 1x/week)
