    This organization's mission is to provide educators, parents and afterschool professionals with access to the highest quality practices in reading and language arts instruction.  It has fun activities, suggested books, projects, games, tools and podcasts to support in this area. 

    PBS Parents

    Offers two reading related sections under the "Education" tab.  The "Reading and Languagae" section lists great ideas for reading on the go, making it easier to fit practice throughout the day.  The "Bookfinder" feature is an excellent tool that allows you to search for books by age, book theme, keyword and whether your child intends to read aloud or silently.

    Reading Rockets - Parents 

    Find resources and activities that can help your child become an engaged reader, including literacy adventure packs, themed book lists, author interviews, nonfiction resources, summer reading suggestions and more.  This site has reading tips in 11 different languages.

    Reading is Fundamental
