In Algebra 1B we will explore in detail several topics from the New York State Common Core Algebra 1 curriculum. Successful completion of the class will be used as the second math credit towards a Regents Diploma. This course will provide a solid foundation for further study in mathematics by helping students develop computational, procedural, and problem-solving skills. To be successful in mathematics, students must learn to translate real life situations into mathematical models. Students will take the Common Core Algebra 1 Regents examination in June. A passing score on this exam is a graduation requirement.
