Alcohol and Substance Abuse Resources

  • Addiction can impact anyone, any family, at any time. Substance use disorder has had serious consequences, cutting young lives short, breaking hearts, and ending hopes and dreams in every corner of our state. In 2017, more than 3,200 overdose deaths were reported in NYS. The CDC reported drug overdoses killed more people than car crashes and life expectancy declined for three consecutive years for the first time since World War I.

Below are resources for preventing, recognizing, and seeking help for substance abuse issues. For further information about substance abuse resources, please contact Jill Post, Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services at Jpost@acsdny.org or 486-4460 ext. 20114.

For immediate assistance call the Dutchess County Helpline at (845)485-9700. If a situation is life threatening, call 911.
