Transportation

Emergency Health Information
During summer school registration, parents must complete the front of the emergency health information form (blank forms will be provided by the guidance counselors).

NYSED August Regents Exams are scheduled for August .

Registration for summer school begins on June 29 and will run through June 30 with your child’s guidance counselor. The final date for summer school registration is June 30, 2026. Registration closes at 2:00 p.m. on June 30, 2026.
The summer school program begins on July 8 and ends on August 19. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday until August 17. The last date to register for the August, 2026 NYS High School Regents Examination Program is July 1. Summer School will administer local final exams August 17 and the Regents Exams on August 18 and 19.
Students must complete the final exam on the assigned date.
No student will be permitted to take any exam earlier or later than the assigned exam day.

Class Schedule:
Period 1: 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.
Period 2: 9:55 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.
In person instruction only.
Attendance: Attendance for 23 class sessions is a high priority and all students must meet the minimum attendance requirement in order to qualify for class credit.
Summer school students cannot be absent more than two days.
An accumulation of four tardies (late to class within the first 15 minutes of class equates to one absence. A student is marked absent if he/she arrives after the first 15 minutes.
Any student who misses a third class will be dropped from the class and not receive course credit.
Once a student has accumulated 3 absences in any combination, he/she is no longer eligible for credit or to sit for the exam.
Should the student’s third absence be the result of a court appearance, a documented auto accident, hospitalization, emergency room visit or death in the family, that student should bring the necessary documentation to the summer school office before being readmitted to class.
Students enrolling are expected to adhere to the in person class schedule (7:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. ).
To fulfill the course requirement, students must attend and participate in 46 instructional hours.
There will be a limit of two (2) courses per student. Report cards will be available via the School Tool Parent Portal at the end of each marking period.
Marking Period Dates:
Marking period 1: July 8 – July 17
Marking period 2: July 20 – July 31
Marking period 3: August 3 –August 21.
It is our hope that the Parent Portal will greatly improve the partnership between schools, parents, and students.

Regent Exams will be administered on August 18 and 19.

ID Badge:
It is paramount to school safety that all Arlington High School students wear their ID cards when they arrive at school and throughout the school day.
Healthy snacks
As we prepare for an exciting and productive summer school session, we want to ensure a safe, focused, and clean learning environment for all of our students. To help us achieve this, we have established a specific policy regarding outside food and drinks.
The program will provide the following at no cost for the entire duration of summer school:
Healthy snacks for students during designated break times.
Cold bottles of water available throughout the day.
Clear Liquids Only: Students will only be permitted to enter the school building with clear liquids in a clear container (such as water or clear sports drinks in a transparent bottle).
No Outside Food or Colored Drinks: Coffees, sodas, juices, and outside breakfast or snack items will not be allowed past the front entrance.
