    Supply Checklist

    ___   Instrument

    • Your instrument can be rented or purchased, but you are responsible for making sure that it is in playing condition

    • Percussion: Your instrument is called “bell kit”

    • Remember that you should rent your instrument no later than August 1st!

     

    ___   “Accent on Achievement Book 1” for your instrument - Percussionists see below

    • This can be found at instrument rental stores and online retailers

    • Percussionists will need to buy: 

    “Fundamentals of Rhythm for the Drummer” by Joe Maroni - revised edition “Accent on Achievement Combined Percussion” by John O’Reilly

     

    ___   One, ½ inch binder

     

    ___   Folding Music Stand

    • This is for at-home use and does NOT need to be brought to school

     

    ___   1 bottle of valve oil - Trumpets ONLY

     

    ___   1 bottle of slide oil - Trombones ONLY

     

    ___   1 box of Rico, size “2 ½” reeds for your instrument - Clarinets and Saxophones ONLY

     

    ___   1 container of cork grease - Clarinets and Saxophones ONLY

     

    ___   1 cleaning cloth - Flutes ONLY

     

    Not required but nice to have….

     

    ___   Rico Clarinet Neck Strap - Clarinets ONLY

    • Neck straps can be helpful for our smaller students when holding the instrument 

     

    ___   Neotech Neck Strap - Saxophones ONLY

    • Instruments come with a neck strap, but Neotech is a more comfortable brand
