The Arlington Central School District mission is to empower all students to be self-directed, lifelong learners, who willingly contribute to their community, and lead passionate, purposeful lives.
Dear Titusville Community,
It’s hard to believe that this school year has come to an end. This will certainly be a year to remember. While we have had some significant challenges throughout the past three months, I am so very proud of all the hard work our students, parents and staff have put into ensuring that all children were supported as best they could be. Before, during and after emergency online schooling, one thing will always remain steady: this school community’s commitment to our children.
We began this year with a level of excitement and vigor that’s hard to match elsewhere. From our All School Meetings to Lunch with Kids, “kicking it up” with PARP, to our Arts in Ed puppets and hip hop performances, the level of community involvement and school spirit you all have shown this year is truly appreciated. Throughout online emergency schooling, our community has continued to show the same exemplary level of commitment to our children that we have when we’re in person.
As we enter the summer with a fair amount of uncertainty over what the fall will look like, I do know one thing for sure: whatever we are presented with, our school community will rise to the challenge as we always do. In the midst of uncertainty, our mindset is crucial. When we finally do hear what next school year will look like, please be mindful that our children are watching and listening closely. Our actions and reactions will determine their outlook on next school year.
As always, thank you for your support and trust during these trying times. I am looking forward to continuing to build upon the relationships and the strong sense of community that we have here in Titusville. My final words of advice to our students for the 2019-2020 school year is: this summer I want you all to stay safe, play hard and read, read, read!
