Our names are Miss Heaton and Mrs. Snowden and we are so excited to be teaching first grade together this year!

~Miss Heaton- This is my third year teaching and third year in first grade at Noxon. I am an Arlington graduate and a recent graduate of Marist College. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, painting, listening to music, and visiting new places. My philosophy is that every child can learn with care, support, and a loving environment. I value kindness, community, opportunities for collaboration, social-emotional learning, and parent involvement, which will be seen throughout our classroom.

~Mrs. Snowden- I am also an Arlington graduate who taught eleven years as a 3-5 grade self-contained BOCES teacher at Vail Farm Elementary. The last two years, I have taught here at Noxon as a fourth and fifth grade ICT teacher. I enjoy spending time with my family; my husband, Mark, and two-year-old son, Leo. I love going to the beach, reading, and spending time boating on the Hudson River! My philosophy is that every child can learn with support, care, and a consistent, safe environment. My goal is making sure that each child has what they need to be successful.
