Hello! My name is Mrs. Cavanna-Fowler. This will be my 4th year as the ENL Teacher at West Road. I love working and connecting with students and families from all different cultural and linguistic backgrounds! My goal is to empower students to feel confident in their skills and excited to come to school. Every child has something wonderful and unique to contribute to our community. 

I attended Ithaca College as an undergraduate and received my M.S.Ed in Second Language Learning from SUNY New Paltz. I have been teaching English to learners of all ages, in community programs, high schools, and adult education since 2017. Before becoming a teacher, I studied and lived in Spain and Costa Rica, where I learned to speak, read, and write Spanish.

¡Hola! Soy Sra. Cavanna-Fowler. Este será mi cuarto año como maetra de ENL en West Road. ¡Me encanta trabajar y conectarme con estudiantes y familias de diferentes orígenes culturales y lingüísticos! Mi objetivo es capacitar a los estudiantes para que se sientan seguros de sus habilidades y entusiasmados de venir a la escuela. Cada niño tiene algo maravilloso y único que aportar a nuestra comunidad.

Asistí a Ithaca College como estudiante universitario y recibí mi maestría en Aprendizaje de un Segundo Idioma de SUNY New Paltz. He estado enseñando inglés a estudiantes de todas las edades, en programas comunitarios, escuelas secundarias y educación para adultos desde 2017. Antes de convertirme en maestra, estudié y viví en España y Costa Rica, donde aprendí a hablar, leer y escribir español. .
