Welcome to my teacher page! My name is Mrs. Powers and I have been a speech-language pathologist in the Arlington Central School District since 2011.  I am so excited to be the speech-language pathologist at West Road and have previously worked at Arthur S. May Elementary and Union Vale Middle School.  I will also be helping to provide speech-language services at Traver Road.

I graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Master of Science in Communication Disorders and received the SUNY New Paltz President's Outstanding Graduate Award in Communication Disorders upon graduation.  I am a New York State Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist, a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities, and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).  I am also proud to be a recipient of the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). 

When not at school, I enjoy spending time with my three sons and my husband, an Arlington Special Education Teacher, enjoying the beautiful Hudson Valley and cheering on our boys on the soccer field.
