• The Beekman Elementary School Library aims to provide a learning space where students feel encouraged to seek opportunities to grow their learning, to locate reading material that enriches their lives and to feel empowered to share these experiences in unique ways.

The Arlington School District Library Program seeks to provide a 21st century learning environment that delivers equitable access to the tools students need to inquire, explore, collaborate & create, while instilling a culture of reading in an atmosphere of intellectual freedom.

Each of Arlington’s school libraries serves students with a wide range of interests and needs. In accordance with Board of Education Policy, we curate our collections to meet those needs while developing and strengthening a lifelong love of reading. We encourage you to discuss your students' reading choices with them and to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

    E-Books

E-Books are also a terrific way to keep on reading while you are at home. Our library uses a program called Sora. You borrow e-books from Sora in the same way that you borrow print books from libraries. You can also link your public library card to your Sora account for access to even more books. Keep in mind we share our Sora books with kids throughout the district, so you may have to wait for a book to become available.

To get started with Sora, click here, find it in Classlink  or use the virtual library link above.
