The Nys DOH has released a tool kit with flowsheets to help guide parents on school attendence in relation to COVID19 to view the entire tool kit please refer to this link :

If a student out due to a symptom of COVID , as identified by the DOH as:
-
Temp of 100 degrees
-
Feverish or chills
-
Cough
-
Loss of taste or smell
-
Fatigue
-
Sore throat
-
Shortness of breath /trouble breathing
-
Nausea Vomiting or Diarrhea
-
Muscle pain or body aches
-
Headaches
-
Runny nose and congestion
Per the guidance from the local and state Department of Health students exhibiting even one symptom of COVID 19 will need medical clearance to return to school. If your MD performs a COVID test , your child must remain home until the test is resulted and you must provide a copy of the test result to the health office. If your student is out for a reason other than one of the symptoms above please send a note outlining there reason for absence. Please reach out with any questions. Thank you so much for your cooperation in keeping the Vail Farm community safe and healthy.

Some general health reminders:
- Wash your hands often at home and school so you don't pass along or pick up any "bugs" that could make you sick
- Cover your coughs- no one wants to get your cold
- Drink lots of water during the school day
- Get lots of rest so you can learn and play at school
