Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. VonderHeide

I graduated from the State University at Albany with an undergraduate degree in Film and Non-Fiction Writing. I worked in the film industry for eight years, primarily as a Casting Director, and although I thoroughly enjoyed my work I felt that I wasn’t fulfilling my true passion. I went back to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) from the Relay Graduate School of Education. I began my teaching career at the South Bronx Classical Charter School where I was a lead Third Grade classroom teacher for two years. Now I begin a new chapter in my career as a Fifth Grade teacher at Vail Farm Elementary and I could not be more excited!
