Miss Chong received her Bachelor of Music in Education from the Crane School of Music, and her Masters in Education with a concentration in Pedagogy from the Hartt School of Music, as well as her National Board Certification in Music.

Miss Chong has been teaching in Arlington since 2004, having started at LaGrange Middle School and currently teaches at Union Vale Middle School. She has taught band to all 3 middle school grade levels, and is active in DCMEA (Dutchess County Music Educators Association), having recently completed 2 terms as DCMEA President. 

Miss Chong has had the honor to conduct the Orange and Putnam County Jr. High All-County Festivals. In addition, she maintains a private trumpet studio and performs locally with the New York Wind Symphony and the Northern Dutchess Symphony Orchestra.
