Join us for our sixth Community Engagement Session

We need your help! On Monday, March 20, at our sixth Arlington Connect community engagement session, we will be asking community members just like you to come together and let us know what the future of our schools should look like here in Arlington. If you have not done so already, we encourage you to be part of this important conversation.

The DLR architectural firm will present Facilities in Arlington. DLR will report their findings on Arlington’s current facilities, including security, building capacity and infrastructure improvements.

Following the presentation, you will take part in an interactive activity to provide feedback that will help shape future district plans.

It is crucial that we get your feedback on the future of our school buildings!

    Why should you attend?
In our fall survey, 95% of respondents felt that we need to keep our school buildings up-to-date and in good condition to protect our community’s investment in those facilities. We need to hear from you what improvements you feel are most important.

The Arlington Central School District (ACSD) is launching a community-led effort to bring parents, staff and community members together to develop goals and priorities to improve ACSD schools and plan for the future. The Arlington Connect program consists of community surveys, a series of community engagement sessions, open houses and building tours.

“One of the district’s priorities is to engage our community and ensure those who live and work in Arlington have a voice in its future,” said Dr. Dave Moyer, Arlington Superintendent of Schools. “We encourage everyone to get involved and help us pave the path forward as we prepare all students for their future.”

During the community engagement sessions, participants will:

    • Learn about topics such as Arlington’s educational programs, facilities and finances

    • Participate in interactive work activities to help identify the community’s priorities to move ACSD schools forward.

The District will include results from Arlington Connect in a series of recommendations that will be presented to the Board of Education.
