  • Phil Klotz, custodian at Arlington High School, was honored with the Charlie Johnson Award for emulating eight character traits that Charlie embodied: loyalty, brotherhood, selflessness, courage, compassion, responsibility, patriotism, and integrity.     Complementing the district’s mission statement, the goal of the Facilities and Operations Department is to provide unsurpassed services, maintaining the highest standard of visual and physical comfort for all students, staff and the Arlington community, while ensuring fiscal responsibility with our district’s investments.

    The Facilities and Operations Department oversees the groundskeeping and maintenance of eleven schools, two bus garages and 5 pump houses, comprising a total of 1,500,000 square feet of total building area.  Lawn maintenance is performed for 300 acres of grass, as well as snow removal for all parking lots and roads on district property.
