This school year will mark my seventh year at Arthur S. May, and my 13th year teaching. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at Boston College where I learned to think deeply, reflect often, and act quickly. I have also earned my Master’s Degree in Childhood Education and Teaching Students with Special Needs. This degree helped me expand my teacher toolkit to reach all students where they are.

Teaching is not only my career, it is my passion! I genuinely enjoy going to school each day and strive to always create an environment where students feel the same way!  In our new fifth grade team teaching model, I will be specializing as the science teacher for the grade.  I look forward to the learning adventure ahead of us – filled with lots of hard work, hand-on investigations, laughter, discussions, team-building, beautiful mistakes and hard-earned goals. I cannot wait to see what the students achieve this year!

Este año escolar marcará mi séptima año en Arthur S. May y mi decimotercer año enseñando. Obtuve mi licenciatura en Boston College, donde aprendí a pensar profundamente, reflexionar con frecuencia y actuar rápidamente. También obtuve mi Maestría en Educación Infantil y Enseñanza de Estudiantes con Necesidades Especiales. Este título me ayudó a expandir mi kit de herramientas para maestros para llegar a todos los estudiantes dondequiera que estén.

¡Enseñar no es solo mi carrera, es mi pasión! Realmente disfruto ir a la escuela todos los días y me esfuerzo por crear siempre un ambiente donde los estudiantes se sientan de la misma manera. En nuestro nuevo modelo de enseñanza en equipo de quinto grado, me especializaré como maestra de ciencias para el grado. Espero con ansias la aventura de aprendizaje que tenemos por delante, llena de mucho trabajo duro, investigaciones prácticas, risas, debates, trabajo en equipo, hermosos errores y metas alcanzadas con tanto esfuerzo. ¡No puedo esperar a ver lo que los estudiantes logran este año!
