ASM is a Proud No Place for Hate School

Arthur S. May is proud to be a No Place for Hate School!
ASM earned the “No Place for Hate” designation through the Anti-Defamation League in 2023 by demonstrating a school-wide commitment to taking action against bias and bullying in our community. Students, teachers and parents have worked together to engage our whole school in dialogue around the multifaceted aspects of personal identity and the beauty that is found in recognizing and appreciating our community’s diversity.
The ASM Student Equity Team has been leading the charge this year in continuing our work with ADL, and we are on the path towards earning the No Place for Hate designation once again this year. Our first student-designed activity this year led students and staff through a reflection of their own personal biases, engaged community members in conversations about how bias can impact ourselves and others, and provided strategies that anyone can use to ensure they are treating the people around them with fairness and respect.
At ASM, we are committed to being No Place for Hate!
