I was born on March 17, 1977. I was raised in Yorkton Heights, New York and graduated from the Yorktown Central School District in 1995.

Then I went on to complete my undergraduate work at Sunny Albany. In 2000, I began teaching in the Bronx, where I remained for six years. My first two years in Arlington were spent at Overlook. Once I transferred to Arthur S May, I taught first grade for a few years. Next, I went on to teach fifth grade for three more years and, after that, I settled into the role of a third grade educator. 

I live with my wife, Erica Dunn (married 2020), and my two sons, Adam (age 13) and Matthew (age 12). Adam will be attending AHS and Matthew will be a seventh grader at LMS. We have a dog named Ruby and a dog named Bailey, one bunny (Lully), and two cats (Hawk and Sparrow).
