Hello & Welcome to our class family! My name is Julie Shook and I have been teaching for over 20 years.  My first teaching job was in the North Colonie School District, in Latham, NY.  I have taught grades 2, 3 and 4 & worked at two other Arlington Elementary Schools.  The bulk of my teaching career has been in 2nd grade, and I am so proud to be part of the Arthur S. May community.  2nd grade is a year of adventure, curiosity, discovery and independence.  I look forward to our work together as we learn & grow.

I live in Poughkeepsie with my husband, our two teenage children and our dog, Kylo. 

When I am not at school, I can be found reading and collecting diverse children's books, watching my children play sports, enjoying family time & shopping at Target!
