Mr. Joe Hines III

Good Day To All My Seventh Grade Foreign Language Students and Families:

I have been an Arlington employee since 2001 and I have been in our classrooms since 2007. I graduated from Marist College with my BA and an MA and I currently reside in the Hudson Valley Region. I enjoy my power walks, my endless endeavors on perfecting recipes, my constant efforts in finding new musical artists in all genres, leisurely binging on Sci-Fi TV Series, and remaining up-to-date with national and global news as it applies to the overall improvement of World Language content, know that I take tremendous pride in delivering a well-rounded learning experience to all children each and every day. As a previous Arlington graduate, I can only speak volumes about how our district has made tremendous strides in improving the accessibility of learning in all its forms for our great pool of diverse students.

Having taught Spanish for years prior, I ask students and families to be patient with new technology and an enriched/modified curriculum, and to also allow for children ample time to acclimate to this new experience. While some students have a knack for linguistics, others may find it more challenging -that's okay. I support all children regardless of the pace at which they learn. In the same respect, students can only learn if they o self-advocate for their foreign language education. Having a healthy, self-directed, positive attitude as a learn is essential.

Throughout the year I encourage all families to reach out if they have any comments questions and/.or concerns. I can be reached via e-mail: JHinesiii@acsdny.org. Be sure to also check your e-mail regularly for family updates, Google Classroom for due dates for assignments, and also be sure to view my Spanish course syllabus with many links and resources for you and your child (accessible only through your child's Google account).

I look forward to returning each year for another wonderful experience with our staff, faculty, and administration. Their support, and the support of the community truly mean so much in securing the success of every child.

Thank you for allowing me to educate your child; what a distinct honor and privilege.

Buenas Suerte a Todos,

Señorito Hines
