Mrs. Kerri Benante

Hello, there!

Sixteen years ago, I joined the Arlington Central School District!  Since being hired in 2004, I have been a Special Education teacher with the district working for the majority of my career in a self-contained classroom with students with autism.  This experience was indeed remarkable in my life.  This position allowed me to meet, work with, and learn from such amazing individuals along the way.  I also had the privilege of collaborating with lovely families and staff throughout my time in this program.  It was with great curiosity and a continuous desire to challenge myself and abilities that I left this program in 2017 for a position in the inclusionary setting.

Having graduated from Marist College with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree, I felt prepared to serve students of multiple abilities and disabilities in a multitude of settings.  This knowledge and confidence allowed me to commit myself to this new position as a co-teacher in a co-taught classroom.  I have been fortunate to work as a 6th grade Social Studies teacher at LaGrange Middle School for the past three years.  This year, I am joining my co-teacher, Mr. Chris Greco, for an exciting year of working with your child to explore diverse geography, human culture, the development of early civilizations, and incredible achievements and contributions from our ancestors!

I thank you for allowing Mr. Greco and I the opportunity to work with your son/daughter as they begin this next chapter in their lives at LaGrange Middle School.  May they have an enjoyable experience along the way as they learn amazing things and make some lasting friendships with their teachers and classmates.  Should you have any questions or concerns throughout the year, please feel free to reach out to me at any time.

Respectfully Yours,

Kerri Benante
