The Business Education program is comprehensive and designed to meet the personal, college and career readiness needs of Arlington High School students.

Our purpose is to prepare students for entry-level employment in business and marketing occupations and for post-secondary studies in business. We also provide opportunities for students to learn about business as it relates to their personal lives. Classes in Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Personal Money Management, Accounting, Business Management, and Ethics in Government and Business (new in 2023-24), are a few of the courses available. In the 2023-24 school year we will also be offering students the chance to develop their own business in our Business Incubator course. In addition, we have an award-winning Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club that meets weekly and attends both local, state-wide, and national conferences and competitions.

We also offer several college level courses through the Concurrent Enrollment Program at Dutchess Community College. Juniors and Seniors can enroll in Introduction to Business (1/2 year class, 3 elective credits), College Marketing (1/2 year class, 4 Business/Marketing credits), College Accounting (Full year class, 4 credits, equivalent to Financial Accounting 1), and Managerial Accounting (Full year class, 4 Accounting credits, pre-requisite is College Accounting with a grade of C or better)

As Business Educators, we believe there are three over-arching themes that we strive to impart to our students, regardless of the specific subject matter of the course. We want our students to understand the importance of these ideas, both personally and professionally, and will weave these concepts into all of our courses.
