Hello! I am new to the Arlington School District this year (2020) and I will be working at the High School as a Special Education Biology teacher. I enjoy spending as much time outdoors as I possibly can. My hobbies include hiking, fishing, taking my dog for adventures, and hammocking. In terms of my background, I am actually a career change and my undegraduate work at the University of New England was focused on marine biology in which I have a Bachelor's Degree. After several years of working for the Large Pelagics Research Lab in Massachusetts and NOAA in Seattle/Alaksa I decided to persue another passion of mine, education! I then attended PACE University, graduating with a duel certification in Science (Biology) and Special Education. The knowledge, experiences, and passion I still have for marine science, conservation and ecology will undoubtedly be seen through my teaching philosophies and hopefully through the mindsets that my students leave my classroom with in the future. I look forward to a great year of teaching your son's/daughter's about what I love - science!
