Music Department faculty office ext. 31138The Arlington High School Music/Performing Arts program is a nationally recognized music program that has enjoyed many successes since its beginnings over 50 years ago.The Arlington Performing Arts program has been named one of the NAMM Foundation's BEST COMMUNITIES FOR MUSIC EDUCATION IN THE USA every year since 2012. The band, orchestra, chorus, and theater arts programs have garnered many accolades and honors at the local, regional, state, and national levels. The Arlington High School music department currently supports 5 concert bands, 5 orchestras, 2 choirs, 3 jazz ensembles, a competitive marching band, an indoor color guard, and numerous instrumental and vocal chamber ensembles. The department also offers a comprehensive Theater Arts course of study and a drama club that performs plays and musicals.Arlington High School musical ensembles and music students have performed at Carnegie Hall, The Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic, the NYSSMA State Music Conference, the ASTA National String Conference, the ACSD National Choral Conference, the Berklee Jazz Festival, NYSSMA Majors Festivals, and at Music in the Parks music festivals.

These groups require participation in a regular school day ensemble.Some of these programs include:
