• If you are new to Google Classroom/Docs/Forms/Etc, please be patient with yourself.  It takes a little while to get used to it, but it will get easier.

    Here is some advice:

    • Make sure you are always in Chrome web browsing.  Safari, Edge, etc. are not designed to support the Google Apps.
    • Some students download the Google Apps suite and stay logged into it using their school email account.
    • If you are having trouble logging in (error message saying that you "do not have permission" to join a class, etc....odds are you are still logged into a personal "gmail" account on your phone.  You will need to log out of this before logging in with your school email address.
    • School email addresses are generally your first initial, followed by your last name then "acsdny.org"  DON'T forget the ".ORG" Sometimes folks try to use ".COM" and it won't work.
    • Contact your guidance counselor or any of your teachers if you are having trouble accessing your account.
    • All Google products (Apps) start with the App name followed by google.com  (Example: classroom.google.com) Check your spelling if it is not working, too.
    • If your teacher personally invites you to join a class (like I have), you will not need a class access code.
    • Each Google Classroom has a class code.  If your teacher does not personally invite you, you will need that code.  Likely he/she will post it to his/her school website page, etc.  You can also email the teacher directly.
    • Please make sure that you are joining the correct Google Classroom. If your previous year's teacher did not archive the class, it will still look active....please make sure not to confuse it with this year's Google Classrooms.
    • ****Finally, always "TURN IN" or "SUBMIT" your work at completion.  If you do not click on "submit" or "turn in", your teacher cannot view your work....so you will not receive credit.
